An unusual sight has captivated wildlife enthusiasts in India: an Asian elephant with striking red ears.

This rare pigmentation caught the eye of Jagdeep Rajput, a bank worker from New Delhi, who captured the moment on camera during a visit to Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand.

Rajput, who has been photographing wildlife for 27 years, described the scene as remarkable. “Some elephants have red ears due to natural pigmentation,” he explained. “Male elephants are typically solitary, interacting with herds only to assert dominance or for mating purposes.”
