Scarlett Johansson recently expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming animated film, “Transformers One,” praising its unique visuals and emotional depth.
The actress, who portrays Elita in the film, shared her thoughts during a press event for another project, “Asteroid City.”

“Transformers One” delves into the origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, exploring their relationship with Cybertron before becoming adversaries.
Johansson commended writer-director Josh Cooley for infusing the film with drama and heart, highlighting its distinctive animation crafted by Industrial Light and Magic.

Johansson said about her role, “Yes, I’m playing Elita. The film doesn’t look like anything I’ve ever seen before, it looks so cool! It’s funny, but it’s got so much heart to it like all of his stuff does.”
The project, slated for release on September 13, 2024, is set to kick off a potential trilogy, promising an exciting journey for fans.
Joining Johansson in the cast are Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry, portraying the younger versions of Optimus Prime and Megatron, respectively.

In addition to “Transformers One,” 2024 also marks the conclusion of another animated trilogy with “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.”
Jason Schwartzman, who plays a villain in the Spider-Man series, teased the evolution of his character, The Spot, promising a more significant, more menacing presence in the upcoming film.
As fans eagerly await these animated adventures, they can catch Johansson and Schwartzman in Wes Anderson’s “Asteroid City,” hitting theaters on June 23.
