When the team at Street Life To The Sweet Life heard about a little dog abandoned near a busy highway in Texas, they immediately sprang into action. They knew that time was of the essence.
Upon arriving, they found a Chihuahua mix that was visibly terrified. The dog’s location beside the highway added to the urgency of the situation.

Approaching her without a plan carried the risk of her darting into traffic, so the team devised a careful strategy to ensure her safety.
This small dog, later named Brie, had been waiting near the highway for several days, loyally watching the road for any sign of her family’s return.
She remained hopeful, unaware that she had been abandoned. Her unwavering loyalty and heartbreak weighed heavily on the rescue team.
Determined to rescue her safely, they crafted a plan to secure her without causing distress.

Using construction netting, the team created a barrier around Brie. Their primary concern was preventing her from jumping out of fear.
One of the team members, George, who was experienced in such rescues, approached Brie with a catch pole in hand. Through a combination of gentle movements and patience, he successfully captured her without any mishaps.
Brie was trembling with fear, unaware of the positive turn her life was about to take.
The rescuers wrapped her in a soft blanket, offering her a sense of warmth and security she hadn’t felt before. With Brie now safe, the team was relieved.

Brie was embraced by Street Life To The Sweet Life, who quickly grew fond of her gentle demeanor. They were confident she would flourish in a loving home.
In Wisconsin, Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue took the lead in finding Brie a permanent home.
She was placed with a caring foster family that provided her the time and space she needed to adjust. As she settled in, Brie was introduced to her foster siblings, a playful puppy and an inquisitive cat.
She quickly bonded with the puppy but remained cautious around the cat. New people also made her uneasy, indicating she needed time to rebuild her trust.

Her foster family showered her with kindness and patience, allowing Brie’s true personality to shine as she became an affectionate lap dog.
With consistent support, Brie’s confidence blossomed as she prepared for her forever home.
Misfit Mutts Dog Rescue soon had wonderful news to share: Brie had been adopted.
“Brie has found a wonderful human and is settling into her new life perfectly. We’re excited for Brie and her new family as they start this adventure together,” read a post from the rescue on Facebook.

Brie was thrilled to reconnect with her foster sister, Mija.
The pair had developed a tight bond, spending their time watching the world go by from the windows and playing together.
Brie finally found the loving and secure home she had longed for. Her new owner vowed to provide her with the love and attention she always needed.
