Recognizing that she needed more specialized help, Chris reached out to The Animal Rescue Center of California. Together with Rescue Lyfe, a facility based in North Palm Springs, the team worked tirelessly to provide Pattie with the secure and nurturing environment she desperately needed.

Before long, Pattie’s new journey led her to Jen, an experienced foster mom with a big heart. Welcoming Pattie into her home, Jen was determined to help the timid pup find comfort and security. Initially, Pattie’s hesitation was evident, as she remained guarded and unsure. Yet, with the love and presence of Jen’s other dogs, Pattie gradually began to open up.
The breakthrough moments came as Pattie started playing, wagging her tail, and embracing the joy and freedom of dog life once more. Her transformation was remarkable, and the bond she developed with Jen grew stronger each day. It soon became clear that Pattie’s search for a forever home had ended—Pattie was meant to stay with Jen.
In celebration of this new chapter, Jen decided to rename her Suki, marking a fresh start filled with love and happiness. This decision culminated in an incredible announcement shared by The Animal Rescue Center of California on Facebook: “Pattie/Suki is adopted! From wandering the streets to being part of a wonderful family, this little Pittie girl is finally living the life she deserves.”
