A touching story emerged on August 20th when Juana, a neglected and abused puppy, was discovered in dire conditions, according to The MoHo. From the moment rescuers laid eyes on her, it was obvious how much she had endured.
Juana’s tale is both heartbreaking and inspiring. She was cruelly mistreated by people who threw stones and garbage at her, kicked her away, and let other dogs attack her because they deemed her too “ugly.”

When rescuers arrived, they found Juana in a pitiful state, almost completely hairless.
Despite her ordeal, Juana’s resilience was clear from her hearty appetite, which is crucial for her healing. Unfortunately, her skin condition was more severe than anticipated. For the first few days, it was perpetually itchy and bled continuously.
With dedicated care and skin treatments, Juana began to show significant improvement within five days. She needed her remaining hair shaved off to facilitate treatment and encourage new growth.
A month into her recovery, Juana’s hair had not fully grown back due to the extent of the damage. However, she was on the mend, basking in the love and care she had been longing for.
Surrounded by gentle voices and affection, Juana responded with her own warmth, her tail wagging with newfound joy.
Two months after being rescued, Juana found her forever home and a loving new owner. Thriving in this nurturing environment, she began to show her first smiles and offer kisses, joyously embracing the new life she deserved.
Juana’s new mom expressed her delight, saying, “Juana is an angel, and it’s really an honor, an incredible joy to have been able to be by her side today.”
