If abandoned dogs could speak, their stories might bring tears to our eyes. Some would voice the terrible abuse they’ve suffered, while others might recount the hard lives they’ve led. Yet many, despite finding their voice, might remain silent, too scared and traumatized to speak at all.
Paris, an affectionate and gentle pit bull, would likely be among the silent ones. She was discovered lying quiet and heartbroken beneath a car, trying to comprehend why her owner had deserted her.

Two women, Krissie and Ashley, spotted Paris, frozen in place next to their workplace. Concerned but cautious, they approached her with care, fearing she might react out of fear. Looking for immediate assistance, they contacted LA Animal Rescue.
Krissie sent a message that read, “We have a dog on our work property that may have been dumped. I’m hoping you can help me before security calls animal control.” It wasn’t long before help arrived from LA Animal Rescue, who teamed up with Eldad from Hope For Paws.
Eldad quickly drove to the scene, knowing little about the dog they were about to rescue. They didn’t have details about her health, temperament, or even her gender. What they were sure of was that she needed help, and they were ready to provide it, as shared in an LA Animal Rescue Instagram post.

Upon realizing Paris had been static under the car for the entire day, Eldad chose a gentle approach. He offered her treats and spoke softly, a tactic that soon showed results. Much to everyone’s surprise, Paris didn’t bark or resist. Trusting Eldad, she allowed him to put a leash on her.
Krissie and Ashley felt a wave of relief. Had Eldad not rescued her, Paris might have ended up in a crowded shelter, facing a bleak future and even possible euthanasia. This intervention marked the start of a new journey for Paris, leading her to a more hopeful future.
Paris received a soothing bath and full veterinary care before heading to her new temporary home. She traded the hard pavement beneath the car for a warm and welcoming environment thanks to Tania, a committed volunteer at LA Animal Rescue, who eagerly welcomed her.

According to LA Animal Rescue, “We don’t think she was living anything close to a nice life before being rescued. She wasn’t angry; she was just sad. But she is definitely getting that sparkle back! Only good things from now on, Paris.” Indeed, Paris now glows with happiness, far removed from the perils of street life.
Surrounded by love in her foster home, Paris is thriving and showing her joyful, affectionate nature. She relishes belly rubs, dog games, and outings with her foster mom. What was once a life of neglect is now filled with endless possibilities and love, ensuring she has a bright future until a permanent family welcomes her.
There’s no doubt Paris would be a wonderful addition to any family, and with fingers crossed, that day arrives soon!
