Armed with both knowledge and resources, the veterinary experts approached the ailing elephant cow using a specialized vehicle.

Employing a dan inject dart system, the team administered 16 mg of Etorphine, leading to a controlled descent of the elephant within six minutes.

Strategic positioning of the trunk and ear was crucial during immobilization to aid in breathing and temperature regulation.

Upon closer examination, no external wounds were found, but the dry and hard consistency of nearby fecal droppings hinted at potential gastrointestinal issues.

The veterinary team administered long-acting antibiotics intramuscularly to address internal health concerns. Additionally, Dexamethasone Hcl was delivered intravenously through a visible ear vein to alleviate observed symptoms.

Post-treatment, the team began the anesthesia reversal process. While deemed successful, a full recovery remains uncertain.
