Witnessing the struggles of stray dogs can be heart-wrenching, but few stories are as inspiring as that of Si Bao, a mother dog who exemplifies courage and dedication.
Si Bao was abandoned by her owner and faced a horrific incident where a train severed her hind legs. Despite her bleak situation, Si Bao found hope and purpose in her four puppies, who reignited her will to live.
Moving on just two legs, Si Bao remained vigilant and devoted to her pups. Her fortune changed when Animals Asia, led by Jill Robinson, rescued her and her family.
The organization appointed Si Bao as an animal advocate, providing her with a new home at their main office. She no longer had to scavenge for food along the railway tracks.
Renamed Lelly, she is now looking into getting wheeled prosthetics to enhance her mobility. Tragically, of her four puppies, only one, Muddie, survived after the others succumbed to a severe fever.
Lelly now thrives as an animal ambassador for Animals Asia, embodying a spirit of resilience and determination despite her small size and past hardships.
