Amidst the ongoing legal battles between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, a poignant letter from Angelina to Brad, dated 2021, has resurfaced, shedding light on their shared winery, Chateau Miraval.
In the letter, Angelina reminisced about the significance of Chateau Miraval, where they brought their twins home and exchanged vows under a plaque honoring Angelina’s mother.

Emotions ran high as she expressed, “Even now, it is impossible to write this without crying. I will treasure my memories of what it was a decade ago.”
However, alongside fond memories, Angelina acknowledged the winery’s role in unraveling their family. She lamented, “It is also the place that marks the beginning of the end of our family – and a business that is centered around alcohol.”

Angelina voiced concerns about the winery’s management, citing “inconsiderate behavior, money spent in ways that I would not have approved, and decisions made that I was not consulted on.”
She explained her decision to distance herself from a business rooted in alcohol, stating, “I cannot be involved, publicly or privately, in a business based on alcohol, when alcoholic behavior harmed our family so deeply.”
Expressing her sorrow, Angelina conveyed her disappointment in reaching this juncture. She acknowledged Brad’s aspirations for the business but emphasized her inability to align with them.

She wished Brad success with the venture and hoped their children would view Miraval differently in the future. The letter concluded with Angelina’s poignant reflection, “Miraval, for me, died September 2016, and everything I have seen in the years since has sadly confirmed that.”
