Scarlett Johansson recently revealed a personal regret she hopes her children, Rose Dauriac, seven, and Cosmo Jost, seven months, will never discover.
Appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show, the 37-year-old actress confessed she’s embarrassed about having smoked as a teenager, calling it something she wishes she could hide from her kids.

“My daughter may have asked me this before,” Johansson shared, admitting her reluctance to admit her past habit. “I used to smoke when I was younger, and I’m so ashamed.
I just don’t want her ever to think I thought it was cool because she can never, ever smoke.” She humorously added that kids often avoid activities their parents strictly forbid.

During the show’s “Final 5” segment, Johansson spoke about various topics, including her fears and competitive streak.
She described a long-standing anxiety about not finding work after finishing each project, a sentiment she has had to overcome.
The Marriage Story star also showed her competitive side, particularly with her husband, Colin Jost.

She revealed that Jost often “annoyingly wins” when they play backgammon by rolling a series of doubles in the final moves. Johansson laughed, noting that he practices on his phone to get better.
The episode took a humorous turn when Barrymore showed a high school photo of Jost with a “mushroom” haircut, prompting Barrymore to ask if high school Scarlett would have dated high school Colin.
Johansson quickly replied, “I don’t think so, no,” joking that the haircut was a dealbreaker. “My brother had that same haircut…I just can’t,” she laughed.

Johansson and Jost first crossed paths in 2006 when she appeared on Saturday Night Live, but sparks flew until she returned to host in 2017.
Reflecting on their relationship, Johansson said, “He’s a very cute guy, but I was in another relationship before…this time, the timing was right.”
Johansson, who was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011 and Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017, shares Rose’s co-parenting duties with Dauriac.

She acknowledged that timing can be everything in a relationship. “I think I’ve been in relationships where the timing wasn’t right…and sometimes it’s a good person, but the timing’s off. It’s important to be open to that, too.”
Johansson’s candid reflections gave fans a rare look into her personal life, sharing humor and honest moments from her journey.
