LekLek and Moh Loh endured a tough 12-hour trip from OmKoi district to ENP, thanks to the efforts of organizations like Stews 4 Elephants (S4E Global) and Future for Elephants.
Their rescue from a bleak future in a circus camp was made possible by generous supporters such as Gertrude Andraschko, Robyn Beasley, Dr. Dawn Miller, and Miss Linee Keswani. The driving force behind their salvation was Saengduean Lek Chailert, the dedicated owner of ENP.
Upon arrival, LekLek and Moh Loh were quarantined to ensure their health before being released into the park’s lush, open environment.
This sanctuary offers them a life far removed from their previous hardships. They are free to explore and enjoy their new home for the first time.
LekLek has adapted wonderfully to her new surroundings. Full of energy and curiosity, she races around her enclosure with enthusiasm. While she can be a bit territorial with newcomers, her playful nature is a joy.
The contrast between LekLek’s lively spirit and Moh Loh’s calm demeanor highlights their healing journey.
Moh Loh gently guides her daughter with soft rumbles, reflecting the park’s philosophy of gentle care and respect for these majestic animals.
