Svetlana Ostabekova, a dedicated animal rescuer, received an urgent call regarding a dog in need. While navigating through the rugged terrain, she saw the dog from afar.
As she got closer, she identified the dog as Bunny, an elderly canine left alone by his owner simply due to his age. Bunny lay there, helpless and surrounded by a few tiles and stones, having recently been abandoned.

Bunny’s frail body was infested with flies and insects, yet he was too weak to fend them off. His sorrowful eyes showed no sign of recognition when anyone approached.
Despite being in pain from his injuries, Bunny seemed to have accepted his situation, his eyes half-closed in resignation. Svetlana was deeply moved by this heartbreaking scene and promptly took him to the hospital.

During the drive, Svetlana placed Bunny gently on a soft blanket in her car. Although he remained unresponsive, she was relieved to feel his faint breathing.
Upon arrival at the hospital, Bunny slowly regained consciousness in the safe environment. He had suffered severe injuries, with numerous wounds, swollen legs, and impaired vision.

Medical specialists attended to Bunny’s wounds, attempting to make him comfortable. Gradually, his senses returned, and he began eating well after days without food.
Svetlana watched with immense relief as Bunny ate eagerly. Despite his grave condition, including necrosis and damage to his limbs and vital organs, his will to survive was astonishing.

Reflecting on Bunny’s ordeal, Svetlana was overwhelmed with emotions, saddened by the hardships Bunny had faced. However, his recovery sparked hope. Against the odds, he managed to stand and walk sooner than expected, encouraged by Svetlana’s care and affection.
Though still fragile, Bunny expressed his gratitude to Svetlana with his gentle eyes. The journey to full recovery would be long and challenging, but with unwavering support from Svetlana and others, they believed he would overcome.
Svetlana committed to staying by his side, wishing for Bunny a future filled with peace and good health.
